At 31 years old, he is a gastronomy prodigy. He was born in England, but has roots in Texas.
He has always been moved by a passion for cooking that led to him to work with some of the best in the world: Danny Meyer (Blue Smoke), Daniel Humm (Eleven Madison Park), Thomas Keller and Jonathan Benno (Per Se), Yannick Alléno (Palace Hotel, Le Meurice), Bryce Shuman (Betony).
He studied at the French Culinary Institute. In 2010, he won the Bocuse d’Or USA, which took him to the world competition in Lyon, where he finished 10th at only 23 years old. In 2014, the day before his 26th birthday, he became chef of The Modern, which earned him the StarChefs Rising Star award, an award that highlights emerging values who represent the vanguard of the contemporary American dining scene.
