In June of 2019, Chef Terry and wife Jenn Koval opened their dream restaurant in Decatur, GA; their community of fourteen years. After two decades of working in Atlanta’s top kitchens, Koval has continued to embrace his community which has supported him throughout his career. Chef Koval was nominated Star Chefs Sustainable chefs award in 2012 and has been featured on Food Networks top rated shows Chopped and Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Chef Koval has consistently received the Georgia Organics farmers champion award from 2020–present. He supports Wholesome Wave GA, Slow Food GA, and Slow Food USA. In 2022 Terry was listed by the James Beard Foundation as one of the BEST CHEFS IN THE SOUTHEAST. In 2023 The Deer and the Dove and B-Side were both awarded the Slowfood Snail of Approval award for making, “good, clean and fair food for all.”
The Kovals are dedicated to their team, guests, community and to the support of local farmers and aquaculture. They strive to encourage a creative, collaborative and thriving environment for staff as well as guests.
