Overview
Joe Campanale is a restaurateur, beverage expert, author and radio host. A native New Yorker, Joe opened his first restaurant, the West Village mainstay dell’anima, at only 23 years old. It quickly became a downtown dining destination, beloved for its excellent food and Italy-centric wine list. Following its immediate success, he debuted L’Artusi in 2008 and Anfora in 2010, both celebrated for their casual elegance and neighborhood-focused approach to hospitality. Italian food, wine, and the generosity of spirit so widely associated with Italy’s top dining destinations has been at the heart of each of his endeavors, and the same is true of Fausto. Joe has been named a Food & Wine magazine Sommelier of the Year and has been featured on numerous “30 under 30” lists, including Forbes and Zagat. He has written about wine for various media outlets and has hosted more than 200 episodes of his wine-focused podcast “In the Drink.” He lives in Brooklyn and is an avid runner.
