François Nadon is the past Chief Technology Officer for the Canada School of Public Service. A distinguished, Director of Information Technology, Client Portfolio Management and Infrastructure Operations with expertise in a diverse range of technologies within multiple industry settings. Demonstrated success in managing networks, Operations, Services, Projects and Quality Assurance. Highly organized, results oriented individual with proven ability to implement standards, procedures and processes that improve business functionality. Solid management skills, capable of leading and motivating individuals to maximize their levels of productivity, while fostering a cohesive team environment. Effective communicator, focused on building strong client relationships. In the past twenty six years that he has been in the federal government, François has acquired a solid experience in a number of areas such as managing people, budgets, products, and services.
In his current position as IT Director, his role is to advise and brief the senior executives (President (DM) & Vice-President (ADM)), including the CIO, on the best strategic advice and tactical approaches with regards to complex issues, new technologies, IT project delivery , IT investment and Cyber Security in support of the Departmental Priorities.
