Overview
I am a Master of Wine who lives between Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood and the vineyards of the world. I was the 7th woman in the US to earn the MW title. There are just over 50 Masters of Wine in the US; many more people have been into outer space! My wine career began after a tour in finance that began in Dallas and ended in New York by way of Paris, where my budding passion for wine was cemented.
I have directed extensive wine programs for fine-dining restaurant groups. I oversaw 16 restaurants as the National Wine Director for Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group, with whom I opened two new restaurants. I opened many more as the Corporate Beverage Director for Culinary Concepts by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, managing programs in restaurants and hotels from Istanbul and Doha to Vancouver and Bora Bora.
As a consultant, I most recently revamped the wine list for Loch Lomond Golf Club. I reconfigured the wine programs and trained staff at Ilili and the former Gordon Ramsay at The London, and I wrote the opening wine list for the Co. pizza concept from Jim Lahey of Sullivan Street Bakery.
In the retail sector, I directed wine purchasing programs for New York-based retailers Italian Wine Merchants and Zachys, while also overseeing their Washington, D.C. and Hong Kong operations.
